Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into Michael Okpara university of Agriculture for 2022/2023 session.

Eligibility

All candidates who scored 140 and above in the 2022/2023 UTME examinations and made the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) first (1ST) choice are eligible. Candidates who applied to other Universities could change to MOUAU as the first(1st) choice at a JAMB Portal and then apply accordingly. Applicants who wish to change to MOUAU should visit the link https://mouau.edu.ng/academic-department-by-faculty/ to view the courses offered by MOUAU before proceeding to apply.

  Requirements: Beginning on 20th September 2022 and closing at midnight on 30th November 2022, candidates are required to register online for the admission screening exercise. To register, candidates must proceed as follows:

Candidates are to visit the University Website at www.mouau.edu.ng;

Input the Jamb Registration Number
Input a valid email address. This leads you to the Remita Payment Platform (RRR) where an RRR number is generated with which payment of N2000.00 will be made. Payment can be made by debit/credit card or by taking your RRR number to any bank nationwide and depositing cash. Return to the Website to continue your registration.
Transaction charge(s) apply please: If you encounter any challenge(s) after payment, kindly send an email to the University Portal Office at portal@mouau.edu.ng
Register by filling out an online Application form and selecting the proposed Department and other requisite details.
Candidates are required to input their O’Level qualifying details for WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results obtained in not more than two sittings, indicating the type of Exam, Year of Result, Scratch card details (PIN and Serial Number on the card)
Fetch results from examining body (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
Kindly note that O’Level results and number of sittings are weighted.
Confirm that the WAEC/NECO/NABTEB result fetched is correct before submission of form.
Candidates awaiting 2022 WAEC/NECO are advised not to register till these results are available to avoid problems.

Fill out the form, submit and take a print-out after executing the Submit button. The system sends a copy of the submitted forms to your email for records.
Kindly note that the University is not liable for any wrong information entered by candidates.
Candidates are advised to check the University portal for their screening test results 14 working days after registration.

STRIKE : MOUAU-ASUU REJECTS FG’s NEW SALARY STRUCTURE FOR LECTURERS

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in Abia has described the Federal Government’s Consolidated Academic Salary Structure (CONUASS) as “unilateral”, hence unacceptable. The group’s position is contained in a statement jointly issued by the Chairman and Secretary of the union, Michael Ugwuene and Paul Nwiyi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umuahia on Saturday. The statement is entitled, “Failure of Government: Collective bargaining agreement is the way forward.” It stated that CONUASS awarded increases of 35 per cent and 25 per cent of current salaries to Professors at bar, and other ranks, respectively. ORTOM TO STRIKING ASUU BSU– END SYMPATHY STRIKE OR I'II STOP YOUR SALARIES

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Monday, threatened to stop paying the salaries of members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Benue State University, BSU, branch if they fail to call off the ongoing sympathy strike with the national body. He noted that the sympathy strike had gone beyond the allowed three days and appealed to the lecturers to return back to the classroom in the interest of Benue children. The Governor who spoke in Makurdi while reacting to appeals by parents and students on the striking lectures to call off the sympathy strike noted that he had ensured the prompt payment of the salaries of the striking lecturers despite their action lamenting that their action was already taking its toll on the students and parents.
