PLATEAU STATE UNIVERSITY IGNORES ASUU STRIKE, FIXES RESUMPTION DATE

Senate have approved October 10, 2022 for the resumption date of new Students to continue their registration ahead of preparation for commencement of academic activities.

The Student Union Government is informing PLASITE espercially the new intake to obey and go by the school directive to resume for registration while we await the return of class activities.

The Union is in touch with the school management and the Academic staff with the assurance that both parties are working assiduously to makesure academic activities return to nomalcy. It will do this and release the academic calendar immediately during or after the registration.

Date for the resumption of returning students will be made available as soon as preparation is done for that.

ASUU TO RESPOND TO FG’S STANCE ON SALARY, OTHERS AT NEC MEETING

The executive members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), led by its President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, is scheduled to meet and discuss the inability of the Federal Government to meet their demands.  ASUU NEC is also expected to deliberate on the half salary paid to its members by the Federal Government last month. The meeting is expected to cause palpable tension among university communities.  The meeting will take place at the union’s headquarters at the permanent site of the University of Abuja campus.
