BAUCHI STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES SALES OF PART-TIME ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION

COMMENCEMENT OF SALE OF ADMISSION FORM INTO PART-TIME DEGREE PROGAMMES FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following part-time degree programmes of the Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG) for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Faculty of Management Sciences

1. B.Sc. Accounting

2. B.Sc. Business Management

3. B.Sc. Public Administration

Faculty of Social Sciences

1. B.Sc. Economics

2. B.Sc. Sociology

3. B.Sc. Political Science

Faculty of Arts

1. B.A Arabic

2. B.A Islamic

3. B.A Linguistics

NB: All candidates are requested to note that all part-time programmes are resident at Yuli Campus of the University, Bauchi.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All candidates must have possess O’ Level result with minimum of five (5) credits at not more than two sittings relevant to the programme of interest, including Mathematics and English Language.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

a. Candidates are to first visit the JAMB portal and log in the Part-Time portion and apply accordingly.

b. Then, candidate can visit our website at www.basug.edu.ng, create profile and generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and follow the instruction for making payment;

c. Interested candidates are to pay a screening fee of five Thousand Naira (N5,500.00) to BASUG;

d. After making the payment candidates are to return to the BASUG website and follow the instructions on how to download the application forms and submission instructions.

STRIKE: FG BEGS ASUU TO ACCEPT IPPIS

The federal government has begged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to accept the Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS) with the promise of improving the payment platform to fit the needs of the lecturers. The Accountant General of the Federation, Sylvia Okolieaboh, made the plea on Thursday during the meeting between the union and the federal government at the House of Representatives. Recall that the Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila had last week called for an extended meeting of all stakeholders in the education sector to resolve the over seven months strike. The Accountant General said the government will accommodate the union on the issue of salaries in a bid to end the strike.
