FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, IDAH RELEASES 2022/2023 HND SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION FORM

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates with National Diploma at Lower Credit and above and with at least nine months post ND Industrial Work experience or eighteen months for those with pass, for admission into HND programmes offered by the Federal Polytechnic, Idah as follows;

OTHER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS;

The minimum entry requirements for admission into the Higher National Diploma programmes are as follows;

(a) candidates must possess five relevant credits, including Mathematics and English Language at the SSC/NTC/NBC obtained from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB at not more than two sittings

(b) evidence of ND/JAMB admission;

(c) all candidates, including graduates of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah are to process and forward their ND academic transcripts to the Registrar, The Federal Polytechnic, Idah

METHOD OF APPLICATION

The following procedures are to be followed:

log on to the address https://www.secure202admission.fepoda.edu.ng

i. click on the On-Line Application Tab;

ii. fil the form with valid e-mail address and password containing eight (8) characters of letters and numbers and print out the Payment Invoice with Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number,

iii. take the printed Payment Invoice to any bank for the payment of Ten Thousand Naira(N10,000.00) only using the Remita

iv. Go back to the School website (https://www.secure202admission.fepoda.edu.ng) to complete the registration by clicking on “Finish Registration”;

v. Print out the Application Form, Confidential Report and State of origin documents

STRIKE : MOUAU-ASUU REJECTS FG’s NEW SALARY STRUCTURE FOR LECTURERS

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in Abia has described the Federal Government’s Consolidated Academic Salary Structure (CONUASS) as “unilateral”, hence unacceptable. The group’s position is contained in a statement jointly issued by the Chairman and Secretary of the union, Michael Ugwuene and Paul Nwiyi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umuahia on Saturday. The statement is entitled, “Failure of Government: Collective bargaining agreement is the way forward.” It stated that CONUASS awarded increases of 35 per cent and 25 per cent of current salaries to Professors at bar, and other ranks, respectively. It argued that the review was prepared by the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission and presented to the Prof. Nimi-Briggs-led FG/ASUU Renegotiation Committee, without inputs from ASUU. “The crux of this matter is that the award is unilateral and a total breach of the provisions...

ORTOM TO STRIKING ASUU BSU– END SYMPATHY STRIKE OR I'II STOP YOUR SALARIES

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Monday, threatened to stop paying the salaries of members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Benue State University, BSU, branch if they fail to call off the ongoing sympathy strike with the national body. He noted that the sympathy strike had gone beyond the allowed three days and appealed to the lecturers to return back to the classroom in the interest of Benue children. The Governor who spoke in Makurdi while reacting to appeals by parents and students on the striking lectures to call off the sympathy strike noted that he had ensured the prompt payment of the salaries of the striking lecturers despite their action lamenting that their action was already taking its toll on the students and parents. The Governor said: “I have been paying their salaries; I don’t know why the lecturers are extending their sympathy strike beyond the allowed days.
